IPF Offshore Wind Conference

New York City - 2023

Invited Presenter for IPF Start Up Alley.  The IPF is the premier US Offshore renewable energy conference.

It is held in a different US city each year.

Excipio recommends this conference as the best for those new to offshore renewable energy.

Floating Offshore Wind Turbines

Monipellier, France 2019

Invited Exhibitor; FOWT is the leading floating wind conference in France.  This conference focuses on technology and financing of floating offshore wind.

Excipio if one of only a few companies discussing the addition of additional revenue generating devices to floating wind platforms.

Exihibit was focused on the Excibuoy as an alternative to wind only platforms.

5th Asia Offshore Wind Day

Tokyo, Japan - 2019

Attended for APAC networking opportunities.  Japan is looking to offshore energy to replace its reliance on imported fuel, primarily LNG.

Excipio E-OTEC and Excibuoy offer opportunity to acheive these goals.

Japan is also a world leader in conventional OTEC, with one of only 5 working OTEC demonstration plants in the world located on Okinawa.

OMAE 2018

Madrid, Spain - 2018

International Conference on Ocean, Offshore and Arctic Engineering, known as the OMAE.

Presented the newly patented Excibouy and explained the math behind the economics.  No single energy source can complete with a multi-technology platform.

The key is to maximize revenue, not minimize hull cost, which is the goal of most offshore wind companies.

Offshore Technology Conference

Houston Texas - 2022

Since 2016 Excipio have been promoting more renewable energy content at the OTC, which is seen as an oil and gas conference.  In fact the very first OTC in 1969 was 1/3 offshore alternative energy (primarily OTEC and floating nuclear power), 1/3 ocean mining, and 1/3 oil and gas.

In 10 years the percentage of Energy Transition or Renewable Energy papers has gone from 15% to nearly 35%.

NATO Technology for Information, Decision, and Execution Superiority (TIDE) Sprint, Invited Speaker.

Due to our backgrounds in offshore oil and gas, renewables, and military service Excipio was asked to present and overview of the status of offshore renewable energy and a risk assement of offshore renewable energy systems.  Its worth noting the backstop for this request was the demolition of the Nordstream Pipelines as part of the Ukriane war.

BlueTech Week

San Diego - 2022

Invited Speaker on repurposing of offshore oil and gas platforms.  Some of the oldest offshore platforms still in service are in California Waters.

A consortium led by Excipio had just completed a study for the DOE on  repurposing legacy oil and gas platforms in the waters offshore Texas, Alabama, MIssissippi, and Louisiana.

In terms of enviromental risk and benefits repuposing is ofetn a better option then removing platforms from sensitive locations.

Houston Climate & Energy Week

Houston, Texas - 2025

The Houston Climate & Energy Week is a group effort where the Start-Up, Finance, Educational Institutions, and Energy Companies come together at various events scattered around town.

It is a unique conference in both its decentralized nature and openess to allowing a large variety of hosts.

Excipio takes part in those events focused on offshore renewable energy, Data Center Power, Energy Transition, and Oil and Gas Carbon Reduction.

GOW UK 2023.png

Global Offshore Wind UK

London, UK - 2023

Invited Exhibitor presenting the Excibuoy as an alternative to wind only platforms.  The Excibuoy attracted significant attention but suffered from a perception that it is a complex system.

Our exhibit was used to demonstrate that is not the case, having very few active device or moving parts compared to even a simple oil and gas system.

Any complexity is outweighed by the gain in capacity factor, and corresponding reduction in energy stroage requirements.

InnoSTARS Grand Final

Changsha, China - 2019

Starting in Houston in June, Excipio competed against 250 other companies in the InnoSTARS competition.

Excipio was selected as on of the finalist and brought to Changsha with all expenses covered.  While in the end we were beaten by V3 Wind (see our Links page) it proved that the Excibouy holds promise as an alternative to wind alone platforms.
